The temperatures soar high in the summer season. The tourists avoid Mumbai during the time due to the scorching heat.
In the monsoons, Mumbai receives high rainfall. This makes the weather highly humid and it becomes difficult to go around the city. Though if you are in the city during that time, do attend the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.
Winters are the best time to visit the city when the weather is pleasant and enjoyable.

Places to Visit
- The Gateway of India is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Mumbai. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V. The complex also sports the beautiful Taj Mahal Hotel, that was built before the Gateway itself.
- Haji Ali Dargah and Siddhi Vinayak Mandir are important places of piety in the city. They are visited by thousands of devotees every day.
- The city has many beaches, among the most visited are Chowpatty and Juhu. The beaches are as chaotic as the city.
- Visiting Mumbai would be incomplete, without going to one of the many ritzy nightclubs or restaurants.
- The city is a foodie’s delight with the vada pavs and many multi cuisine restaurants.
- Marine Drive is also referred to as the Queen’s necklace, due to the gleaming image it portrays every night. The 3.5-kilometer stretch overlooking the Arabian Sea might be one of the only places in the city where you can go for some quiet.
- Elephanta caves are a short ferry ride from the city. The island has many caves that will leave you awestruck.
