Formerly known as Nowgon, the city of Nagaon is located in Assam about 120 kilometres from Guwahati. 1. Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary

3. Bordowa
Also known as Bordowa Toran, the place is famous as the birthplace of Srimanta Sankardeva. The Fagua festival and the birth anniversaries of all Vaishnava saints are celebrated here with utmost reverence. 4. Kaziranga National Park
World famous for the one horned Rhinoceros, this National Park is home to the five big mammals; one horned rhinoceros, royal Bengal tiger, Asiatic elephant, Easter deer and the wild buffalo. The Brahmaputra river flows nearby and the area is preserved as a habitat of endangered animal and plant species. A must visit for the safaris and the elephant rides, Kaziranga National park is truly one of a kind as it is the only place where the one horned Rhinoceros are found. Champawati Kunda falls are located in the Chapnalla town of Nagaon.
